Stun Guns make them Drop!

taser-probes.jpgStun Guns make them Drop!

Stun guns are great for personal security.  It is important to remember how they work.  People don’t normally get hurt when a stun gun is used.  However, it is normal when the thief is stuned to become stiff…just like a dead person.  This is due to the lactic acid that stiffens up a persons body from the electronic empulse.  The same lactic acid that is released when someone dies.

However, when someone dies they normally are laying or sitting on the ground.  But this is not the case in being stunned by a stun gun.  Sure the body becomes rock hard but because they are standing and doing things they shouldn’t be doing.  The fall to the ground like a stiff board! Unable to catch themselves as they fall.  Bam! Goes the head and body….(personally I like to think of this a nice reminder for them when they do get up)

So its important NOT to stun friends because they do miss the cushion when they fall.  Please stand by to catch anyone you do this to….I’m speaking of friends.  Not the jerks.

One other fair warning.  Drugs, alchol, and stun guns DON’T mix!  The mixure causes more severe mental dazzing…So don’t be like the idots on YouTube and get drunk and shock each other.  This is NOT a game.

Telescoping Stun Baton

telescopicstunbaton.jpg Telescopic Stun Baton

Just got off the phone with a company that ordered a several Telescopic Stun Guns.  (Also known as Telescopic Stun Batons)They are giving them to each of thier drivers.  This way they can protect themselves due to them carrying cash in thier vehicles.  Not a bad idea.

These things work great.  When you extend the club part you have two effects. One is striking the thief.  The second is if he trys to grab the club to take it away from you.  Thats when he gets a shock and goes down.

These are proving very popular in my settings then I imagined.  See Telescopic Stun Baton for more prices and details.

Precautions for Nighttime Safety

Precautions for Nighttime Safety

Whether because the darkness makes for easier concealment, or because there are often less people present, the late night hours mark the most likely time of the day to become a victim to a potential attacker.  It’s important to keep yourself and your loved ones safe if you’re in public areas during nighttime hours.  In general, the number one rule is to never walk alone.  Most attackers are more nervous than their victims, and will choose to avoid two people if possible.  If you don’t have anyone to walk with at night, building security guards or law enforcement officers will often be happy to walk you to your car or a bus stop.

If you do enter into a situation where you become uncomfortable, the best thing to do is move into a public place, like a restaurant, convenience store, shop; any location will work and likely deter an attacker, be sure to call for help once inside.  It’s also important to protect yourself in case a dangerous situation cannot be avoided, this means carrying pepper spray or a stun gun, and also knowing how to use them.

Preparing for an Outdoor Excursion

Preparing for an Outdoor Excursion

When preparing for a hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, or camping trip, there are a few precautions to take before trekking out into the wilderness.  The most important thing to do is to let someone know where you are going, the times you will be there (important for backpacking), and when you intend to return.  This will ensure that should some unpredictable accident occur, you will have someone looking for you in a matter of hours as opposed to days.  Also be sure to inform someone reliable!

Being prepared for the outdoors also involves packing the right equipment.  For safety, you should pack a first aid kit, in case of snake bites, broken limbs, or even simple cuts and scrapes.  If you’re venturing into bear country, the National Parks Service in many cases requires that people traveling through the area carry bear spray, to ward off a potential bear attack.  It’s also important to pack standard equipment like warm clothes and sleeping bags, food, water, and a GPS device or at least a compass.

TASER c2 review

The TASER c2 is top of the line in regards to stun gun products.

Several things to note about a TASER C2 is that people are often suprised that only 50k volts are used.  While most stun guns on the market start at 100k volts and go up into the millions of volts. Why is that?  In a simple term its called “testosterone poisoning”.  It is that simple.  Over 50k volts is fun to brag about having in your stun gun but it is not needed to bring someone down.  Its what the police use.

If you have never seen a TASER up front close and personal.  It sends out “probes”.  That is TASER’s term for them.  If I were going to discripe the probs I would use the term “Barbs”.  Like a fishing hook!  Really like a fishing hook that has been straightened out.  So be carefull when you fire this at someone.  Don’t fire at the eyes! It could really take an eye out. Seriously be aware of this.

Lets say you miss your target.  Not to worry. The TASER C2 can be used as a normal stun gun.  This feature is also effective you have several people you are fighting off.  Use the probes on one person then stun the others.

Colors.  I’m not into colors and could give a hoot about which you choose.  No big deal to me.

What about warning someone you are going to fire the TASER at them.  Well, if I was pointing a gun I would warn. But do to the safety of a TASER C2 by comparison….I think I would just fire away without a warning.  No point in giving heads up to some fool that shouldn’t be harassing me or my family.  POP! Down he goes and he can complain to the police. Because I know he’s not giving me a warning before I get shot. I sound a little mad but I’m not, just stating the facts.  Face these thoughts and situations BEFORE they happen.  Its much easier when it does happen because you have a plan.
