The Stun Master Hot Shot Stun Gun

The Stun Master Hot Shot Stun Gun
While we’re looking at stun guns with a big wallop in a small package, let’s look at another one from Stun Master.  The Hot Shot from Stun Master packs a 975,000 volt wallop into a stun gun only 3″ long!  That’s close to a million volts of stunning power.  And it’s small size and shape means no one will even notice you’re carrying a stun gun - it actually looks more like a Blackberry than a stun gun.

The Hot Shot is equipped with a safety switch and a red light that illuminates to tell you when it’s ready to unleash it’s 975,000 volts.  It uses two Lithium CR123A batteries for power.  The batteries and a convenient detachable belt clip are included in the purchase price.  Definitely a best buy recommendation.  The Hot Shot uses micro-technology to deliver a lot of power in a small package.  And it’’s manufactured by the company with over 10 years experience in the stun gun industry and backed by a lifetime warranty.

Let’s talk a little more about stun guns in general.  A stun gun uses a very high voltage at a low amperage to disable an attacker.  A half-second shot from a stun gun like this will cause a painful jolt and startle the attacker.  One to two seconds and muscle spasms and disorientation begin.  Over three seconds will cause loss of balance, loss of muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation.

Stun guns like the Hot Shot do not rely on pain to function.  Instead, they interfere with the bodies’ nervous system and cause the attacker to have severe muscle spasms.  This causes the attacker to do a great deal of work in a short amount of time, quickly tiring them to the point of disabling them.  As for the time needed to do this, a general rule of thumb is to keep the stun gun in contact with the attackers body long enough to disable them to the point where you are able to escape and call for help.

With a stun gun, you don’t have to worry about the legal hassles associated with owning a taser, and they can be just as effective (the only advantage to a taser is that it can be used at a distance from your attacker).  But many police and military personnel still choose to carry a stun gun, even though they may be permitted a taser.  And you don’t have to worry about your attacker touching you while you are stunning them - the electricity  will not pass from their body to yours.

Even though stun guns deliver a very high voltage electrical charge, the amperage is low enough that the charge is not lethal.  You won’t have to worry about any legal consequences that might come about by defending yourself with a lethal weapon.  And stories about people dying from stun gun use are simply not true - the actual cause of death was something else.  This is why stun guns are perfectly legal in most states and do not require a license to carry or use.

So let’s sum up the features of The Hot Shot:

  • Only 3″ tall
  • Uses 3 CR123A Lithium Batteries (included)
  • 975,000 Volts
  • Life Time Warranty
  • Stainless Steel Belt Clip (included)

I like the size of this particular stun gun. I also like the cell phone model, but it looks a little old school. If I was in a situation that I would need to use it, it is easy to conceal in your hand only being 3 inches. You can throw it in your purse, keep one in the kitchen junk drawer and also one in your glove compartment in your vehicle.
