The taser gun is one of the most effective, non-lethal self-defense weapons available to the average person. Completely legal in most localities, a shot with a taser will drop an attacker in their tracks every time. The taser works by delivering a 50,000 volts pulsing electical charge to the attacker’s body, and interfering with the body’s elecrical system. One advantage of the taser is that it can be used from up to 15 feet away, so you can drop your attacker before they get their hands on you.
Tasers use replaceable cartridges which contain the projectile, the small, thin wire used to carry the charge, and the propellant used to power the projectile to its target.
