Tazer or Taser?

Taser

Well, actually it’s TASER, which is a trademark of Taser International, the company behind the technology of this self-defense weapon.  It’s just that some people call them Tazers.  Either way, they’re one of the best non-lethal methods of self-defense available.  A tazer can deliver a 50,000 volt electrical charge up to a distance of 15 feet to stop an attacker in his tracks.  Unlike a stun gun, which requires close personal contact, a tazer can be used at a distance.

Tazers feature reloadable cartridges which contain the projectile that delivers the charge, the wire that the charge is delivered through, and the propellant that drives the projectile.  They work by emitting a series of high-speed high-voltage pulses, which interfere with the bodies’ electrical system and cause uncontrollable spasms.  They continue to deliver this charge for 30 seconds after being fired, giving you the chance to drop the weapon and get away.  For more information on the tazer.
