The Mace Wireless Home Security System

The Mace Wireless Home Security System
We’ll look today at an excellent home security product, the Mace Wireless Home Security System.  We like this unit because of its many features and ease of installation.  The system comes with a base unit with keypad, one wireless motion sensor, one wireless window/door sensor and an arm/disarm remote control with panic button.  The system is completely wireless and only requires connection to the phone line and AC power for the base unit.

One of the reasons we like this wireless home security system so much is its ease of installation.  There are no wires to run between sensors, just plug the base unit into AC power and plug it into an available phone jack.  Another reason we like it is its ease of operation - Mace has done a good job designing a user-friendly interface and sequence of operation.  You can program the unit to dial up to 5 pre-set phone numbers when an intruder is detected.  And the panic button feature is ideal for the elderly who would like to be independent but be able to summon help in case of an accident.  Let’s take a quick look at how this wireless home security system works.

When the door/window sensor or motion detector is triggered, it sounds an alarm and sends a signal to the base unit.  The base unit will then dial the first telephone number from your programmed list.  If someone answers at this number, they will hear a pre-recorded alert message informing them that an intruder has been detected.  At this point, the person answering the call has three options - They can listen in on the room, broadcast their voice through the base unit or disarm the security system.  A good strategy would be to use the option to broadcast their voice through the base unit and inform the intruder that the police are on the way - they won’t wait around for long.

If their is no answer at the  first number, or if the person doesn’t disarm the security system, it will dial the next number on the list.  It will keep dialing numbers until someone answers and disarms the system.  The motion detector works up to 8 yards, so it can be used to monitor a large area.  And the wireless sensors can transmit up to 250 feet, allowing you flexibility in locating the base unit conveniently.

Let’s sum up some of the specifications for this excellent home security system:

- Completely wireless sensor operation
- Base unit with convenient keypad operation
- Wireless motion-triggered sensor works up to 8 yards away
- Wireless sensor for door or window placement
- Remote control arm/disarm with built-in panic button feature
- Can be programmed to dial up to 5 different telephone numbers
- Allows for two way communication over the phone

Now you can see why we like this home security system so much.  It’s wireless operation, ease of installation and operation, and low price make it a bargain when compared to a professional system.  And you can still use it with an alarm monitoring service for a small monthly fee.  The Mace Wireless Home Security System is an excellent alternative to a professional system available at a fraction of the cost.  For more details about the Mace Wireless Home Security System and information on where to purchase, follow this link:  The Made Wireless Home Security System
