The Z-Force ZF Series Stun Guns

Stun guns use a high-voltage electrical charge at a low amperage to disable an attacker. The results will vary with the amount of time that a person is stunned, along with other factors such as the type of clothes the attacker is wearing. Generally, a half-second jolt from a stun gun will startle and repel an attacker. One to two seconds and muscle spasms and disorientation begin. Three seconds or more and the attacker will experience severe muscle spasms, disorientation, confusion, and loss of balance.
Stun guns don’t depend on a person’s pain tolerance in order to function. Instead, they rely on the fact that the bodies’ nervous system is controlled by small electrical charges called nerve impulses. The high-voltage charge from the stun gun begins to interfere with these nerve impulses, causing muscle spasms. These muscle spasms cause the body to do a great deal of work in a short amount of time, thus tiring your attacker to the point of disabling them. The general rule of thumb for how long to stun someone is to keep the stun gun in contact with their body long enough to disable them to the point where you can get away from them and call for help. They will remain disabled and disoriented for some time after they are stunned.
One of the advantages of stun guns is that they don’t come with the legal hassles associated with owning a taser. A taser is nice because it can be used from a distance, but they can be complicated to purchase and use legally. Many police personnel choose to carry a stun gun even though they may be permitted a taser, so you can be sure that stun guns are effective. And they are perfectly legal in most states and don’t require a license to own or use.
The 100,000 - 300,000 volt electrical charge produced by the ZF series sounds like enough to kill a person. But the charge is not lethal because the amperage is low enough to keep permanent damage from being done. You don’t have to worry about the possible legal consequences of using a lethal weapon to defend yourself with a stun gun.
There’s no need to worry about being shocked by your own stun gun if your attacker touches you while being stunned - the electricity will not pass from their body to yours. And the stories you’ve heard about stun guns being lethal in some cases is simply not true - cause of death was something unrelated to stun gun use.
The ZF-SM model is 5″ tall and the ZF-ST is 6.5″ tall. As mentioned, both have a slim, sleek design with a handgrip designed for smaller hands. Both models feature a safety switch and a convenient wrist strap. The ZF-SM uses one 9-volt battery while the ZF-ST uses two 9-volt batteries. And both models are available with an optional nylon holster.
